Sean Herr joined the practice full-time following his graduation from Queens University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. (2019)

Sean enjoys developing his understanding of sound financial planning and the financial services industry.

Sean appreciates the opportunity to work in a family firm that provides the skills and tools necessary to assist the firm’s clients to achieve their financial goals.

Sean completed the Canadian securities course (2020), is working towards his Certified Financial Planning designation, and has obtained his life insurance license (October 2019).

Outside of the office, Sean enjoys sports, including tennis, skiing, and following football.

Ryan is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Hons. B.A in Political Science (2015). He then went on to Humber College in Toronto where he graduated with a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning (2016). Ryan received his designation as a Certified Financial Planner in July 2019.

Ryan enjoys working in his family firm and meeting and working with a variety of clients and helping them work towards their financial goals. He appreciates the creativity that needs to be part of every financial plan to meet the needs of the client. Ryan finds it a very fulfilling to take the stress out of financial planning for his clients.

Ryan loves spending time outdoors including golfing, skiing, and hiking as well as learning about high-performance cars and watches.

Les Herr is a graduate of Western University with a BA in Biology (1982). He received his MBA from Queens University in 2001. Les is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)s, Certified Life underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch. F.C)

Les has been in the financial service industry for over 40 years. He has had an extensive career both as a financial planner and working in the corporate environment. Les is very passional about working with clients and believes that all clients should have a comprehensive plan.

Les started his career with London Life as a financial adviser helping Canadians achieve their financial goals and then moved into various sales management and operational roles. From there, he moved to Empire Life, working nationally in senior-level sales, marketing, and operational roles. He was appointed President and CEO, a position he held for just over six years.

Customer-focused, innovative, hard-working and caring are some of the words Les’s colleagues have used to describe him, as well as being a recognized leader in the Canadian financial services industry.

Les has an extensive business background and spent years working within the corporate environment. He has a keen interest and skillset to work with business owners and address their unique planning needs.

Les is happy to be back working as a financial planner with two of his sons, Ryan and Sean. In his spare time, Les is passionate about supporting local charity organizations. He also loves spending time outside fishing and golfing.

• Earned his Executive MBA from Queen’s University in 2001; also holds the following designations: Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch. F.C.)
• Helped raise millions of dollars leading fundraising campaigns for United Way Kingston, Pathways to Education Kingston and the 1000 Islands Playhouse
• Chaired the Canadian Life & Health Insurance Association (2012 – 2013) and served as Member of the Board for five years
• Member of the Business Council of Canada- 2010 – 2014
• Paul Harris Fellow Award – Kingston Rotary Club – May 2012
• Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal – December 2012

Customer Specialist

Moira has worked in administrative and leadership roles in the financial services industry since 2006. She earned her ACS (Associate, Customer Service) and ALMI (Associate, Life Manager) through LOMA (Life Office Management Association). She has leadership training certifications from St. Lawrence College and the Canadian Management Centre.

Moira enjoys travel, reading, photography, gardening, and active living, including cycling and kayaking.

Jennifer has obtained her ACS (Associate, Customer Service) and ALMI designations (Associate, Life Manager) through LOMA (Life Office Management Association). She received her Ontario Management Development Leadership Skills Certificate from St. Lawrence College.

Jennifer entered the financial services industry in 2010, where she began her career with a large insurance company. Jennifer has always loved working in customer service, as she is very personable with a warm and friendly nature. She really enjoys getting to know our clients and building relationships.

Outside of work, Jennifer spends her time with her family, her husband, two children, and two dogs. She loves traveling to New York State to visit her family.
